Center for Spiritual Living - Awaken Possibilities

About CSL Metro

A world that works for everyone, everywhere, without exceptions.

We are a growing, thriving Center celebrating all unique expressions of the Divine, a member community of Centers for Spiritual Living, founded in 2015.

Our story

Ten years of growing together.

Rev. Dr. Trish Hall founded CSL Metro in 2015 to share the Science of Mind with everyone seeking it. A decade later, our community gathers online with people joining from around the world, and in October 2025 we installed Rev. Jackie LaBarre as our Senior Minister and Spiritual Leader.

We celebrate the Divine Truth of Oneness, honor all traditions and paths, and commit to ever-expanding our awareness of the presence of Spirit. You are welcome to share your unique Divine individuality with us.

The Science of Mind

A practical philosophy, open at the top.

In the early 20th century, Ernest Holmes studied the world's religious traditions alongside the findings of science and philosophy. What he synthesized became the Science of Mind, which must remain “open at the top for greater illumination, unbound and unlimited.”

“Ours is a simple faith. Spiritual values are real values. Life's meaning should be one of joy, of peace, and of certainty.”
Ernest Holmes
  1. There is one power and presence in the world, which we call God.

  2. God is all there is, so we are by nature a part of God, filled with and surrounded by God.

  3. As we become conscious of this truth, we grow in awareness and awaken to our ability.

  4. Spiritual laws govern the universe, and we can use them to influence our lives for good: health, finances, relationships, or simply happiness.

  5. We receive this good to the extent that we are receptive, and we teach ways to expand that receptivity.

Our global vision

We envision a world that works for everyone.

Shared by Centers for Spiritual Living around the world, this vision guides how we pray, serve, and show up for one another.

CSL global theme: Rising Higher, Growing Deeper

  • We envision all people, all beings, and all life as expressions of God.

  • We see a world in which each and every person lives in alignment with their highest spiritual principle, emphasizing unity with God and connection with each other.

  • We envision humanity awakening to its spiritual magnificence and discovering the creative power of thought, creating an individual life that works within a world that works for everyone.

  • We envision a world in which we live and grow as One Global Family that respects and honors the interconnectedness of all life.

  • We envision a world where personal responsibility joins with social conscience in every sector, providing sustainable structures for an emerging global consciousness.

  • We envision a world where each and every person has enough food, a home, and a sense of belonging; a world of peace and harmony, enfranchisement and justice.

  • We envision a world in which resources are valued, cared for, and grown, with generous and continuous sharing.

  • We envision a worldwide culture in which forgiveness, whether for errors, injustices, or debts, is the norm.

  • We envision a world that has renewed its emphasis on beauty, nature, and love through a resurgence of creativity, art, and aesthetics.

  • We envision a world that works for everyone and for all of creation.
