Prayer for October 23, 2026

Gregory Coyle, RScP Emeritus

Greetings!

I am enjoying the beautiful morning light as the sun rises and dawn lights the city.

Soon we will turn our clocks back an hour, to enjoy more daylight.

However; I particularly enjoy the fall evenings, when the sun sets and the moon and stars shine brightly in the heavens. I feel a great sense of peace, calm, and gentleness. Everything looks and feels softer.

And I remind myself that the sun’s light is always shining even when I am not aware of it.

When the moon and earth are in a certain alignment, it is nighttime, yet the sun’s light is still reflected back onto the dark side of Earth by the moon.

And so it is with us when we have our backs turned towards the Divine Light, that we think we see only darkness. Yet in reality, we are always bathed in Divine Light. Children of the Light.

So I invite each of us to find the Divine light and allow it to illuminate us, ourselves also reflecting this Light to others and thus illuminating the planet.

There is One Power, and I call it God. Omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent.

It is our source and supply, and we are one with God. This Divine Light is everywhere, shining as perfection and wholeness. I declare that the Divine Light illuminates my path and all paths now. I know this radiant presence nurtures, uplifts and supports each and every one of us now, healing us of any ideas of separation, lack, or doubt. We are healed and made whole/holy by this Light. As we remember this truth, and shine brighter, so in turn are others reminded and brightened.

For all of this and so much more, I give thanks. Grateful that God is gracious.

I release this word, knowing that it is done now.

And so it is. Amen.

Love and blessings,

Greg
